Our Mission

Our mission at the Successful Care Foundation is to combat homelessness within underserved communities by providing accessible, safe, and affordable housing options.

Our Vision

Our vision at the Successful Care Foundation is a world where homelessness is eradicated, and every individual has access to safe, secure, and affordable housing.

Get to Know Us

The Successful Care Foundation was founded in Akron in loving memory of Douglas Russo who was a former employee of our sister company Successful Staffing. Successful Staffing has helped a lot of homeless people. Douglass Russo was living in a homeless shelter when he first started employment. He had a big heart and wanted to help people. While he was employed with us, he worked alongside the owner Ms. Green and always encouraged her to start a non-profit organization to help the homeless. Doug will never be forgotten, and we will continue to work hard to keep his idea a reality.

Who We Are

The Successful Care Foundation is a dedicated non-profit organization working tirelessly to combat homelessness among some of the most vulnerable groups in our society - the senior community, veterans, the LGBTQ+ community, and individuals with mental retardation and developmental disabilities (MR/DD).

Our primary goal is to provide safe, affordable housing, recognizing that a stable home is the foundation for an individual's wellbeing and prosperity. We firmly believe everyone deserves a place to call home, and we strive to make this a reality.

In addition to housing, the Successful Care Foundation offers a range of other services designed to support our clients' comprehensive needs. These include:

Employment Assistance:

We connect individuals with job opportunities and provide them with the necessary skills and training to secure sustainable employment.

Healthcare Access:

We help people access healthcare benefits, ensuring they receive the medical care and mental health support they need.

Social Support:

We facilitate community activities, support groups, and counseling services, fostering a sense of community and providing emotional support.

Legal Assistance:

We provide resources and guidance for legal issues, often partnering with legal organizations to help our clients understand and exercise their rights.

Advocacy:

We advocate for policies and legislation that protect the rights of our clients and work towards ending homelessness.

We measure our impact through several key indicators, including the number of individuals housed, jobs secured, healthcare services accessed, and the overall improvement in the quality of life.

At the Successful Care Foundation, we are more than just a non-profit organization; we are a beacon of hope for those struggling with homelessness. We are committed to creating a world where everyone has a safe place to call home and the resources to build a fulfilling life.

Successful Care Foundation Involvement

Must Read

The Successful Care Foundation is dedicated to serving underserved communities, including seniors, veterans, the LGBTQ+ community, and people of all ages. Our primary objective is to combat homelessness, providing stable, safe, and affordable housing for those who desperately need it.

But our commitment goes beyond just providing a roof over someone's head. We strive to foster a sense of community, dignity, and belonging, recognizing that everyone deserves a place to call home.

In addition to housing assistance, we also offer a variety of supportive services to ensure our clients have the resources they need to thrive. This includes employment assistance, health and wellness programs, social support, and advocacy.

We are also deeply committed to giving back to the community. We do this by creating volunteer opportunities, organizing community events, and partnering with other local organizations to amplify our impact.

By reducing homelessness, we're not just providing shelter; we're restoring hope, creating opportunities, and building stronger, more inclusive communities. Our goal is to create a ripple effect of positive change, transforming lives one person at a time.

At the Successful Care Foundation, we measure our success by the lives we touch and the difference we make. Every person we help transition from homelessness to stable housing is a testament to our mission and a step forward in our goal to end homelessness in our community.

At the Successful Care Foundation, our latest initiative is to establish a group home that will provide safe and supportive housing to those in need from underserved communities.

A group home is more than just a roof over someone's head. It's a place where individuals can live together, support each other, and access essential services in a community-like setting. But to make this vision a reality, we need your help.

We are currently in the process of raising funds to purchase a property suitable for this purpose. Our goal is to raise $500,000 to cover the cost of the property, necessary renovations, and initial operating expenses.

There are several ways you can contribute to this project:

1. Direct Monetary Donation: Make a one-time or recurring donation on our website. Every dollar counts and brings us one step closer to our goal.

2. Fundraising Events: Attend or sponsor one of our upcoming fundraising events. Keep an eye on our website and social media channels for more information.

3. Corporate Sponsorship: Companies can contribute through corporate sponsorships or matching gift programs. This not only helps us raise funds but also raises awareness about our cause.

4. Spread the Word: Share our mission and fundraising goal with your network. The more people are aware of our project, the more funds we can raise.

5. Volunteer: Donate your time and skills to help us in our fundraising efforts.

Remember, all donations to the Successful Care Foundation are tax-deductible. Together, we can create a nurturing, supportive environment for those who need it most. Thank you for your support.
